9 killed in one week, as cult war continues


Atleast 9 people have been killed while many were badly injured as the clashes between two cult groups resurfaced in Ijebu Ode town in Ijebu Ode local govermnent in Ogun State


It was gathered that the two groups that have been  terrorising the peaceful town are the the Aiye and the Eiye group

It began last tuesday after the killing of amember of Aiye group, who is a student of Moshood Abiola polythenica OJEERE IN abeokuta was in Ijebu Ode to visit his sister who got married last saturday, to someone identified as the leader of the group

 The boy who is known as Kole was murdered at paka around Aiyegun junction in Ijebu ODE LAST WEEK tuesday

Thats wehat started the war and since then many casualties has been recorded such as
 MEMBER OF Eiye known as Saheed who was murdered at Olisa street at Olisa street in Ijebu ode

The first victim was killed at the Awujale roundabout, near the local government secretariat, Itoro. The second person, by name Segun, a.k.a. Omo Alhaja, a motorcycle ticketer was killed at the Talbot junction, opposite the Catholic church, beside St. Augustine primary school.
The identity of the third person, whose corpse was seen along Makalewo road, along Oke owa road could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.
The duo of Kemi, a.k.a. OBG and Yemi, also known as Old soldier, who sources revealed are members of the Eiye cult group escaped after suffering attacks several times between Monday and Wednesday (yesterday).
OBG is the Chairman of the AMORAN body, a motorcycle group at the Sabo junction in Ijebu Ode.
Efforts to get the DPO, Igbeba police station to react to the killings proved abortive but a police source confirmed the killings within the town in the last one week to our correspondent.
The source who pleaded anonymity however disclosed that the incident has been a thorn in the flesh of the police but noted that plans are underway with the support of the Vigilante Service of Ogun state, VSO to nip them on the bud
